I started as payroll consultant in Telstra and I'm part of the shared services team based in Manila. I am part of the team that provide payroll support to Australia employees with more than 20,000 headcounts. I'm using SAP, Workday and Zendesk as primary systems. Less than a year I got promoted to Payroll Team Lead handling 6 direct reports.

Handles payroll processing for all employees in Australia both monthly (2300-2400 permanent and fixed term employees) and fortnightly (200-300 casual employees).

• Prepare all pre payroll transactions before pay run which includes allowances, government paid parental leave, mileage, salary sacrifice, other deductions like novated lease, child support, garnishment, claims, process payments of bonuses and incentives, referral fee, leave cash out
• Ensure all new hires are properly set up in workday and SAP
• Validate data between workday and SAP prior payroll run to ensure everything is synch and update each system when necessary
• Prepare, reconcile and validate payroll reports (NET pay variance, Payroll Register, Headcount, Superannuation, tax, bank file) during on cycle and off cycle pay run
• Liaise with payroll vendor ADP whenever changes are necessary during pay run
