Android Developer

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Android Developer.

The Android

Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications, ensuring high performance, usability, and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and design teams, implementing new features, optimizing existing code, and integrating with APIs and backend services. The role involves following best practices in mobile development, writing clean and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting issues across different device types and OS versions.

The Android

Developer will also contribute to technical documentation and help improve development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience building Mobile Applications for Android.
• Practical knowledge of Android Development and Android Design principles, including UI/UX guidelines and Material Design.
• Solid foundation in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Experience with Android SDK, Kotlin and/or Java, Android Studio, and common libraries and frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services and third-party SDKs.
• Ability to write clean, testable code and use unit testing or UI testing frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience publishing apps to Google Play Store and understanding of app deployment and maintenance is a plus.
