Full Stack Engineer

Summary

We’re seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build internal web apps and real-time dashboards for mission-critical elections data workflows using React and Python. You’ll integrate complex data pipelines, collaborate cross-functionally, and apply AI-driven automation to improve data quality and operational efficiency, with availability during election periods required.

Experience: 3-5 years

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain internal web apps, dashboards, and operator tools for elections data management, monitoring, and workflows
2. Develop intuitive, performant, and accessible UI/UX for real-time, mission-critical use
3. Integrate front-end applications with data pipelines, APIs, ETL systems, and web-scraping services
4. Collaborate with engineers, designers, researchers, editors, and product owners
5. Implement testing, observability, performance monitoring, and participate in election-readiness drills
6. Apply AI/ML to improve automation, data quality, and workflow efficiency

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Strong experience with JavaScript (modern frameworks), Python (Flask or similar), SQL, HTML/CSS
2. Experience building production-grade, data-driven dashboards and internal tools
3. Familiarity with cloud and data platforms (AWS, Redshift, Databricks, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
4. Excellent communication and documentation skills
5. Availability for nights/weekends during election periods

Preferred:

1. Experience with election, civic, or public data systems
2. UI/UX best practices for internal enterprise tools
3. Data visualization (Python, R, JS libraries)
4. AI/ML exposure and experience with large-scale or real-time data systems
