Research Assistant – Climate Change Adaptation (Thesis Project) at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Marwah Maqbool Malik) (2025-10 – Present)

PhD research project being led by Marwah Maqbool Malik, a PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. The research project seeks to explore how communities adapt to climate change, and the role governmental and non-governmental agencies play in supporting their efforts.

• Conducted fieldwork including Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), interviews, note-taking; writing all the discussions and interviews of people. Have expertise of conducting interviews with recording device and mapping and community interaction.
• Contributed to documentation and analysis of field data using ethnographic and feminist research approaches, with emphasis on community voices and lived experiences.
• Data Analysis, Making Questionnaires, Translation, Deciding Interviewees and providing support during interviews and field visits.

Resource Person – Menstrual Health and Dignity at Baithak (2025-10 – 2026-01)

Facilitated discussions with school teachers and administrators on menstrual health awareness. Conducted FGDs.

• Participated in evaluation visits to assess program impact and documenting the evaluations.
• Supported efforts to create safe and inclusive school environments for girls by addressing social taboos and promoting awareness at the community level.

Subject Specialist (English) at Army Model School, Golarchi (2025-02 – 2025-12)

Worked in a remote-area school where students had limited foundational skills in English and developing their basic reading and writing abilities through structured and consistent practice.

• Supported students in building confidence in speaking and classroom participation, particularly in speech activities.
• As a subject specialist, I also guided teaching approaches to better address the needs of struggling learners.

TED-Ed Educator at TEDx International (2024-08 – 2025-07)

Mentored students in developing public speaking and communication skills.

• Helped learners prepare and deliver talks, encouraging confidence and clarity in expression. Engaged with international communities to provide students with a platform for sharing ideas in a supportive learning environment.

Intern – Flood Relief Program at Chemonics International / USAID (2023-12 – 2024-06)

Supported implementation of health-related flood relief activities in coordination with district teams and supervisor. Conducted field visits, assisted in monitoring health services.

• Contributed to data collection and basic analysis on Excel sheets and handling the IDMIS portal for medical test and overall district and Sindh province reports.
• Participated in training sessions and supported digital reporting processes of diseases; TB, AFP, Malaria, and communicable and non-communicable diseases to improve service delivery in affected areas.

Senior Teacher at Army Public School, and College Badin (2023-01 – 2023-12)

Taught English Language and Literature to secondary students, focusing on grammar, writing, and text understanding. Conducted regular library sessions to encourage reading habits and organized counseling sessions to support students' academic and personal development.
