Passionate psychologist combining practical experierties with academic teaching dedicated to enhance both individual and societal mental health and fostering emotional well being. Excited to contribute my expertise to the field and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve.
I’m currently working as a Lecturer in Psychology at Mohi Ud Din Islamic University (MIU), Nerian Sharif, where I teach undergraduate psychology courses, mentor students, and assist in developing the department’s academic structure. My focus is on helping students build a practical understanding of psychological concepts and apply them to real-life contexts.
Before joining academia, I worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Umeed-e-Shifa Drug Rehabilitation Center, where I conducted individual, group, and family therapy sessions. My work mainly involved psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation for clients recovering from substance use and related mental health challenges.
Earlier, I was associated with Willing Ways, a leading rehabilitation center, where I gained extensive experience in addiction recovery, family counseling, and behavioral interventions.
I have also completed internships at Shaff Drug Rehabilitation Center, Fountain House Lahore, and the Child Psychiatric Department of Services Hospital Lahore, where I worked with individuals of different age groups dealing with various psychological and emotional difficulties.
I hold an MS in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Punjab, Lahore, where I developed strong theoretical and practical foundations in psychological assessment, counseling, and therapeutic interventions. My academic background also includes extensive training and internships in clinical settings, which helped me integrate research-based knowledge with real-world application
