I am Dr.
Mukhtar and have earned a doctorate in Physics (Semiconductors and Nanotechnology) from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. I have a decent track record and demonstrated research experience in various fields of Physics. I have ten years of teaching experience in school and college. My Ph.D. dissertation topic was ‘Synthesis, Structural, Optical, and Electric Properties of Mixed Metal Oxides Nano-composites and their Applications. My forty research articles have been published in International journals and five articles are under process for publication in peer-reviewed international journals related to ‘Tuning the properties of individual oxides and fabricating novel heterostructured nanocomposites for optical, environmental, biomedical, energy conversion, and storage devices applications’. I have more than the five-year of experience in operating material characterization tools like XRD, FTIR, RAMAN, PL, UV-Vis, IV, SEM/TEM, XPS, EDX, Electrochemical workstations,and software related to material study. Currently, I am supervising two Ph.D. and one MPhil research student. I am also attached to different international journals and working as an Editorial board member and Reviewer.
As for the concern about my future plan, I found your research interest and institute the most appropriate and suitable place for my research interests. I was born and raised in a small village of District Bahawalpur, Tehsil Hasilpur, and got a school education from a village and sophomore at Govt.
Bahawalpur. I got a bachelor’s degree from IUB, Bahawalpur,MSc from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan, MPhil from Centre of excellence in Solid state Physics, The University of Punjab Lahore, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Institute of Physics, The Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB). I have five years of experience as a researcher in materials science and engineering, electrochemistry, photochemistry, biocompatible materials, advanced energy storage/conversion materials, at the Institute of Physics The Islamia UniversityBahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan.I authored 38 articles with an impact factor of 200 as well as > 05 articles are under review having total citations > 700 and H-index 17 and i10-index 21.
Moreover, I also have five- year of experience operating material characterization tools and currently operating XRD, FTIR, RAMAN, PL, UV-Vis,IV, SEM/TEM, XPS, EDX, Electrochemical workstations at the Semiconductors and Nanotechnology Lab The Instituteof Physics IUB. I also have hands-on experience in nanomaterial/semiconductor synthesis techniques, including sol-gel, co- precipitation, hydrothermal, micro-emulsion, wet-chemical, auto-combustion, thermal evaporation, and solid-state methods. I also can train research studentsas I already guide four PhD and ~35 MPhil research students who have completed their work.
Currently, I am supervising two PhD and one MPhil research students.
