- Responding to client's inquiries regarding logistics & import related queries to make smooth handling of operations, while negotiating with forwarders & suppliers.
- Timely and proactive follow-up with foreign suppliers regarding dispatch of goods and shipping documents.
- Comprehensive knowledge of export / import documentation for Sea/Air Freight.
- Having knowledge about all rules and regulations regarding international import & export system.
- Follow up with the Finance Department to expedite advance payments and for opening of L/C.
- Having complete knowledge about Inco Terms e.g. C&F, CFR, CIF, CPT, FOB, DDP, Ex-work.
- Liaise with shipping companies and freight forwarders regarding shipments / bookings and freight negotiation as required.
- Timely and accurate processing of shipping documents and NetSuite documentation to Customs agent, Warehouse and Transport companies.
- Prompt processing of ex-stock deliveries while handling warehouse work and stock reports.
- Follow up with warehouse / transport and / or customer to confirm daily schedule.
- Resolve day to day shipping, delivery and stock problems as they arise. Notify customers of deviations and find alternative solutions.
- Provide freight rates / transport quotes for Industry Managers as required.
- Understanding of dangerous and hazardous goods compliance requirements.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders upon approvals based on the most accurate information (quantity, price, delivery time line) and forward to the suppliers for deliveries as per the committed delivery dates.
- Trace shipments and prepare / distribute ship schedules to customers as required, follow up on undelivered goods, issue expediting and receiving reports.
