I'm a recent graduate Electrical Engineer having Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and having an experience of working in Tarbela 4 Extension Hydel Power Station. I have knowledge and concepts with power system in generation and distribution. I'm familiar with Industrial Control and Automation Systems, PLC and SCADA. I'm a quick learner and problem solver with strong research and analysis skills and ability of utilizing and switching engineering tools.

Internee at Tarbela Dam 4th Extension Hydel Power Station (WAPDA) (2025-07 – 2025-08)

• 1st Week: Protection Instrumentation and Control (PIC) - Experienced protection devices like relays and sensors used for protecting electrical systems installed inside the power house like generators, auxiliary transformers and induction motors. The PIC section work is to take the sensor readings displaying on the human machine interface (HMI) and to predict the fault before happening.
• 2nd Week: Electrical Maintenance Equipment (EME) - Experienced ground maintenance involving maintenance of generators and transformer to refill oil and changing carbon brushes and how it helps the system to stay alive. The EME section work is to maintain the system physical needs on monthly and yearly basis. In case of any fault in electrical system installed the section is also responsible to debug the system and to remove it.
• 3rd Week: Switchyard - Experienced and visualized the working of high voltage circuit breaker i.e., SF6 and vacuum circuit breakers. The switchyard function is as a main switch to control the power supplied toward the load side. In case of fault occurs at the national grid or anywhere in the transmission line the responsible line is to be turned off until the fault is removed.
• 4th Week: Control Room - Experienced that the data from all the sensors that are analogue in nature is converted to digital using PLC and displaying on the SCADA software on the LCDs used in the control room. Any fault in the generation and transmission will be an indication that display on the screen that responsible person is monitoring. The power house can control the generation based on the load requirement from the control room and based on the orders of national transmission and dispatch company (NTDC).
