Four weeks internship in Production and well engineering Department
- To implement departmental and IMS procedures in the department and maintain follow ups. Prepare and review SOPS, reports, checklist, JD's, process flow etc. which are Required to maintain the IMS in the department.
- Responsible for Oil Movement operations including tank farm inventory control of Crude and finished Product, Crude receipt, Crude blending, Refinery throughput and production planning, Product blending operations, Certification of finished products, Scheduling with oil marketing companies & product dispatched in country and exports.
- Overall responsible and designer of refinery date management and reporting system which includes reconciliation of daily stock, Calculation of plant production, preparation of DPR, routine reports and technical data. Also formulate volume calculation of standard product at different temperature according to ASTM (60 F and 85 F)
- Prepare product and Ullages sheets and make contingency plan, coordinate with Advisory for availability of products as per customer service demand.
- Monitoring of sites by means of audits and inspection to ensure EHS compliance
- Sound experience of start-up, shutdown and troubleshooting as board man of tank farm unit and facilities according to approved procedure and general instructions.
- Close coordination with plant /CCR and Quality control Lab (QCL) to ensure product quality as per company specifications.
- Ensuring work tasks are carried out efficiently whilst minimizing risk and maximizing safety.
- Maintain/gathering all plant production data daily bases and maintain all operating parameters as per standards
- Storage of refinery finished products including LPG.
- Loading via Tank lorries of refinery finished products including LPG through pumps
- Weighbridge Operations
- Volume calculation at different temperature according to standard product of ASTM (60F,85 F)
- Local crude oil decanting operations
- Planning for stock and ullage of different products
- To collect daily reports from Shipment & decanting and prepare consolidate daily report and circulate to all related concerns
- To ensure operational fitness of crude decanting and shipment area including pumps, hoses, weighbridges, includes loading arms, filters and other accessories. Maintain follow ups with shift staff for smooth functioning of the equipment.
- To propose modification in shipment & decanting areas whenever required or asked by HOD for system betterment and process optimization.
- Supervise all maintenance jobs at assigned locations as per PTW procedures for safe work execution.
- Maintain shipment log book, daily report formulation & other miscellaneous reports with live in/out shipment status and timely update to line manager.
- Provide necessary directions to subordinates and ensure that all activities performed by the staff must be in accordance with departmental procedures/work instructions to avoid any operational upsets and property damage.
- Optimize inventory of measuring/consumable items and ensure safe and optimum utilization of company assets
- Tank joint gauging with surveyors before/after lining up for vessel receiving/discharge and to calculate (OBQ) on board quantity, pump rate and estimated loading/receiving time.
- Finished products transfer (Truck loading) also performed other activities like tanks switchover operation, inter-tank transfer (ITT), Multi grade Loading/Decanting and re-injection system.
- Hand on experience of multi grade blending.
- Dipping, Sampling & gauging of different tanks manually.
- Daily calculations / correction of volume on daily basis.
- Ensure safe LPG storage and transferring activity.
- Monitor Loading of Refinery finished products which includes HSD, PMG, FO, NAPHTHA, LPG and SKO
- Implement Integrated Management System Quality Policy and Environment, Health and Safety Policy
- Prepare and review SOPs, Checklist and JD`s
- Propose and prepare TR (Technical Requests) and maintain close liaison with advisory, Finance and maintenance for timely execution.
- Participate in plant start-up/shutdown activities.
- Participate in weekly scenario based fire drills.
