My academic qualification is PhD- Management Sciences (Finance), MS- Management Sciences (Finance, Silver Medalist) and two Post Graduation degrees i.e., MBA (Finance) & M. Sc. (Statistics) from renowned Public Sector universities of Pakistan. My educational background enables me a good hold on Finance & Accounts, Economics, Statistics and Mathematics and computing.

I have over 20 years of experience in the fields of Finance & Accounts, Research and Administration and teaching at different levels. This is supported with hands on experience on Financial and other research based packages and databases e.g., Oracle (Medix, Bank Smart), Peach Tree, DevInfo, Stata, SPSS, Eviews, Oxmetrics, Minitab and PGD (SE) etc.

I describe my competitive advantage in the field of finance and financial econometrics as follows: I have a unique combination of higher level education and extensive experience in public and private sector in the said fields, which is rare in several respects. For example, one can never be proficient in the field of finance and financial econometrics without prior strong knowledge of the statistics, financial econometrics, mathematics, economics, programming and accounting subjects. As is evident from my CV, with a strong back ground of the said subjects, I have experience of teaching these subjects at different levels and practically applying the knowledge in the field of finance, accounting, statistics and research.

This combination makes me better understand the theories, debates, discussions in the field of finance, Risk Management (Derivatives) and financial econometrics and the way to make sense out of complicated derivations or applied programming logics. Besides, when it comes to practical applications of finance, I have worked on different subjects (e.g., preparation and revisions of budgets, preparation and finalization of accounts, preparation and review of financial, cost and management accounts, financial management, internal and external audits and financial modeling etc.). Similarly, I have experience of preparing GVA and GFCF for GDP of large scale manufacturing industries of Pakistan at FBS.
