As a Research Assistant at the University of Okara, I contributed to several interdisciplinary projects spanning bioinformatics, molecular genetics, and biochemistry. Under the supervision of Dr.
Khan (Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology), I conducted comprehensive in silico analyses of missense mutations in human genes, identifying potential variants associated with disease susceptibility. In the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, working with Dr. Abid Hussain (Assistant Professor), I participated in two key projects.
The first involved a comparative analysis of antimicrobial resistance genes in Acinetobacter baumannii across human, animal, and environmental sources to better understand resistance patterns and their public health implications. The second project investigated polymorphisms in Interleukin-6, Interleukin-13, and TNF-α among asthmatic patients with COVID-19, providing insights into genetic susceptibility and variability in immune responses.
