• Execute daily production target, Quality goals according to ASTM standard, Monitor UPH, Scrap managing, minimum production wastage.
• Operate and monitor induction furnaces for melting and refining of steel, ensuring target chemistry, Quality Assure, Material testing by UTM, and Spectroscopy as well as Metallography.
• Monitor melt shop safety procedures, refractory conditions, and cooling systems to prevent breakdowns and metal splash.
• Act as Production Metallurgist, Coordinate with EMD/MMD teams to quickly resolve electrical/mechanical faults and minimize furnace downtime.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, improve process flow, and increase melt shop productivity.
