In my role at Indus Hospital & Health Network, I have been actively involved in various aspects of biomedical engineering and project management within the Project and Facility Management Department. My responsibilities include:
- Finalizing specifications for medical equipment.
- Conducting pre-purchase technical evaluations of medical equipment.
- Preparing Utility Matrices (UM) to assess the total cost of ownership (TCO) over ten years.
- Managing technical inspections and commissioning of medical equipment.
- Translating clinical needs into understandable language for architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Evaluating architectural and engineering designs to ensure they meet clinical requirements and standards.
- Collaborating with the project team to define tasks and responsibilities.
- Coordinating with manufacturers/distributors to align equipment layouts with room designs.
- Monitoring construction to ensure compliance with medical technology requirements.
- Conducting training sessions on medical equipment for clinical staff.
- Ensuring the safe operation of medical equipment in compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Overseeing planned preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and corrective maintenance of medical devices.

Junior Biomedical Engineer at Memon Medical Institute Hospital (April 2018-March 2021)
During my tenure as a Junior Biomedical Engineer at Memon Medical Institute Hospital, I gained valuable experience in the biomedical field. My responsibilities included:
- Managing the repair and maintenance of a wide range of medical devices.
- Hands-on experience with anesthesia machines, ventilators, dialysis machines, centrifuges, microscopes, patient monitors, OT lights, diathermy equipment, laparoscopy towers, and more.
- Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintaining complaint and preventive maintenance logs using management software.
- Preparing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the biomedical department.
- Conducting technical inspections of newly procured medical equipment and their accessories.
