SOC Analyst Intern - Cyberster

• Built a complete Security Operations Center (SOC) environment using Wazuh SIEM, including deployment, configuration, and management of Wazuh agents across endpoints
• Integrated Suricata IDS for network intrusion detection and pfSense firewall for perimeter security monitoring
• Designed and implemented custom detection rules for File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) alerts, firewall events, and Suricata IDS alerts
• Conducted malware analysis on WannaCry ransomware and njRAT trojan using the ANY.RUN sandbox to study behavior and network activity
• Extracted Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) from analysis and authored custom detection rules to identify similar threats
