Muneeba Shaheen

My name is Muneeba Shaheen. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Applied Psychology from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at the National University of Medical Sciences.

“My journey with psychology began early — I studied the subject at the intermediate level as well, which gave me a strong foundational perspective before I moved into advanced coursework. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I developed a deep interest in making complex psychological concepts clear, relatable, and applicable for students.”

Alongside academics, I have gained extensive practical exposure. I completed my first internship at the Armed Forces Institute of Mental Health, where my major responsibilities included learning and administering psychometric assessments and observing various therapeutic approaches. I then interned at Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Hospital, further strengthening my clinical understanding.

In total, I have completed internships across three hospitals, including psychiatric units, which has given me direct insight into how theory translates into practice.

“I also worked as a Behaviorist at Ya Hasan Academy of Special Education. There, I applied behavioral principles to support children with diverse learning and developmental needs. This role refined my ability to adapt explanations, use structured teaching methods, and maintain patience — skills that are directly transferable to tutoring.
