UNIVERSAL TELLER - HBL (Habib Bank Limited)

• Reviewing accounts payable invoices and cheques to ensure that all payments were made correctly.
• Preparing reports on cash balances and other financial activities for management review.
• Coordinating with external vendors such as banks or insurance companies to arrange for payment of invoice.
• Error free execution of all customer/branch based financial (cash receipt and payments) and all other non-financial transactions as per delegated authority and SOPs, to ensure accurate processing and optimum level of customer satisfaction.
• Entry of opening cash balance, posting of all receipts and payments. Printing of cash balance statements and tallying of physical cash with general ledger balance. Obtaining accounts summary, teller cash and reserve cash at day end.
• Safeguard the cash vault, stationery, and ATM, while processing transactions, to maintain security and reduce the banks' exposure to undue risk.
• Report suspicious transactions to the Branch Operations Manager or Manager Teller as and when required, to ensure further escalation to compliance in a timely manner.
• Ensure all charges are recovered as per Schedule of Bank Charges (SOBC) from customers to avoid any financial loss.
• Arranging for any cash requirements from SBP/HO/MBL Branches in case of need and depositing any excess cash with SBP/HO/ HBL Branches to maintain suitable balance of cash in hand.
• Maintaining of ATM cash, balancing and reconciliation.
• Handling of the utility bills according to SOP.
• Preparing Cash Management report as per SBP guidelines.
• Custodian of Vaults, Safe keys, and ATM keys.
• Maintain cash in hand and Vault in accordance with State bank's clean note policy and assigned cash-in-safe limits, to avoid regulatory penalties / payment of excess premium and to attain satisfactory audit ratings.
• Ensure cash balancing are reconciled with cash on hand GL in all currencies to mitigate cash differences.
• Educate and inform customers about the alternate channels available against the over-the-counter transaction facility and route interesting customers to Floor Manager / CSO.
• Generate referrals, deepening and/or cross-sell products after identifying relevant need(s) of the counter customer.
• To route customer complaints to BOM for resolution.
• Responsible to identify and inform upkeep related matters to BOM on regular and timely basis.
• Ensure discipline and visible co-ordination with fellow colleagues and supervisor.
• Responsible for any additional task assigned by the line management.
