Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) was established on 21st May 1984 under the patronage of President at that time. It is a voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian welfare organization working for the promotion of cardiac health and prevention of heart diseases in the country. It is also supporting aim of preventive department of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology-National Institute of Heart Disease (AFIC-NIHD) Rawalpindi.

The association is working as charitable society since 1984 with the help of volunteer members and the financial moral and material support of Government of Pakistan and philanthropists of the country. Its original office was established in AFIC-NIHD Rawalpindi where it is still located.
