1. Assistant Manager Environment & Social Management (March-2020 - Present) at Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund. Joined PPAF as Assistant Manager ESM and looking into an ADB Financed Project Building Resilient to Disaster & Climate Change, launched by NDRMF. The project has been designed to strengthen readiness of the communities across the country against natural hazards. My responsibilities under this assignment includes but not limited to:

• Review project proposals received from Partner organizations considering ESMS of the National Disaster Risk Management Fund/Asian Development Bank Safeguard Policies, & ESMF,
• Conduct frequent field visits across the country to verify project sites, and assess prevailing environment/baseline information, determine sensitive receptors, the nature and the magnitude of anticipated environmental & social Risks. 
• Prepared and submit Initial Environmental Examination Reports for Provincial EPA’s to get NOC prior to commencement of civil work. 
• Prepare and Update Project IEE report and coordination with the fund for their review.
• Carry out stakeholder consultation by visiting respective project sites, disclose project, its significance, purpose of the project and their role at the planning, execution, and operation phase of the project. 
• Provide technical assistant to all partners organizations involved regarding the nature of the project, environmental and social management system & its applicability during all tier of the project, rapid environmental assessment, community engagement, indigenous people categorization, involuntary resettlement, occupational health and safety, and other mandatory plans. 
• Coordination with local government and Provincial Environmental Protection Agencies and ensure compliance of national and provincial environmental regulations. 
• Assist other project units for developing environmental progress indicators for their respective projects in collaboration with Management Information System (MIS-Unit). 
• Regular correspondence with the National Disaster Risk Management Fund and update them regarding the project activities/progress regarding Environment & Social. 
• Review Project agreements of each partner organization and contractors and ensure consideration of the Environmental & Social requirement as per project ESMS/ADB-SPS 2009.,
• Assist Project Manager in Grant Management, & share monthly update with CEO,
• Assist Project Manager and provide facilitation support in planning, conducting and reporting capacity building events related to E&S as per standard specifications,
• Visit and verify the environmental aspects of disaster mitigation schemes with a view to authenticate the information provided in monthly & QPRs submitted by the respective partner organizations Partner Organizations,
• Conduct orientation session with the PO regarding E&S requirement and its significance during the project,
• Carry out regular field visit to different interventions to ensure E&S compliance as per NDRMF ESMS, 

1. Environment Compliance Specialist: (From August-2017 – Feb 2020) at HALCROW Pakistan (USAID Funded Project): 

• Support Haclrow staff in Ensuring compliance with Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 216 (known as 22 CFR 216 or Regulation 216), IEE: OAPA-16-SEP-PAK-0019 & National Environmental Laws and Regulations; 
• Assist Executing Agency/Supervision Consultants in preparing Environmental Documents, for each sub project, including but not limited to Environmental Documentation Form (EDF) and Environmental Mitigation and Monitoring Plan (EMMP); 
• Report to Chief of Party on the implementation status of OHS policies;
• Prepare and implement monitoring system to check on compliance of set standards. 
• Provide technical support, advice to HPK’s staff/Supervision Consultants & Contractors on the effective and efficient implementation of USAID’s Environmental procedures;
• Ensure that KPRP and FIP Program understands and implements the guidance given in the PERSUAP.
• Prepared regular responses for the MEO and Regional Environment Advisor on Environment regarding Environmental Compliance of the Programs
• Assist SC/Executing Agency to prepare and implement Waste Management Plan (WMP), Traffic Management Plan (TMP), and Construction Environmental & Social Management Plan (CESMP) etc. 

1. Individual Consultant: (From March-2019 – Dec-2021) at United Nations Development Program

I have been hired by the Porject Management Unit (PMU) of the GEB Project as Individual

Consultant for the following projects/assignments.

• Need assessment study of selected stakeholders/departments at provincial and federal level for development and access of environmental information system.
• Policy analysis for identifying the key policy shifts or major developments that are required to integrate environment & development in KP province.
• Policy analysis for identifying the key policy shifts or major developments that are required to integrate environment & development in ICT/Islamabad”.
• Analysis of the reporting requirements against three Multilateral Agreements (UNFCC, UNCBD & UNCCD) and to determine international best practices & to suggest necessary improvement required in overall reporting of the country. 

1. Environment Health & Safety Specialist: From April 2015 till July-2017 at Daelim & LotteJV

• Prepare and implement Construction Environmental & Social Management Plan (CESMP) Muck Disposal Plan for diversion tunnels, Waste Management Plan (Hazardous & Non-Hazardous), Traffic Management Plan, OHS Plan & Blasting Management Plan.
• Regular monitoring of ongoing construction activities (Civil & Mechanical) at diversion tunnels, vertical tunnels, cofferdam and inlet portal. 
• Conduct regular site audits/inspections to check that committed impact mitigation measures are being implemented.
• Make sure the impact assessment issued by client is well understood by the workforce.
• Inspect and ensure that execution is in line with national and International Finance Corporation performance standard 1.
• Regular meeting with site manager, construction managers and deputy project managers regarding EHS compliance. 
•  Assist technical team for developing method statements for each activity. 
• Organize meetings with local community to redress grievances pertaining to environment and social issues.
• Implementation and follow up of grievance mechanism for workers inside the project particularly project affected people.
• Prepare and deliver relevant HSE Trainings for workers and staff on regular basis to promote awareness among them.
