Plant Disease Detection System

Technologies: Python, TensorFlow, Keras, CNN, Gradio, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn

• Developed an AI-powered image classification system using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to detect and classify leaf diseases from the PlantVillage dataset containing 50,000+ labeled plant images.
• Applied data augmentation techniques (rotation, flipping, zoom) and class weighting to handle dataset imbalance, significantly boosting model accuracy and generalization across 38 disease classes.
• Built and deployed an interactive real-time prediction interface using Gradio, enabling users to upload plant leaf images and instantly receive disease diagnosis results.
• Evaluated model using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix — achieving strong multi-class classification performance across all disease categories.
