I am an experienced IT Services Manager, diligent Programmer and Database designer with over 30 years of experience of maintaining IT Services and Programming on IBM AS/400.
Love to travel and play table tennis.
Started career with a Software House (Noble Computers Services) where I worked on different projects with the responsibility to develop medium size systems using RPG/400 on AS/400. After few years, I moved to one of the leading MNC (Syngenta Pakistan Limited formerly known as Ciba Geigy and Novartis Pakistan Limited) where initially I worked for different functions like HR, Finance and Manufacturing by doing programming for local system and for different modules of BPCS using RPG/400. Also involved in the development and implementation of few local systems and maintaining customized ERP solution (BPCS) that was purely developed in AS/400 Native mode.
Major contribution was in RPG/400 programming for Payroll, Shares Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, GL and Actual Costing.
I also have around twelve years of experience of running IT Services for Syngenta Pakistan. This involved management of helpdesk services, project and portfolio management of IT/Digital projects of different functions, local and corporate vendor management, IT issues resolution, user training on IT Processes, coordination with company strategic partners like BT, HP, Dell, Getronics and DXC on support parameters. Earlier, I also travelled abroad for IT offsite regional meetings, trainings on MS Exchange and AD and for a joint meeting with BT and HP on collaboration and deployment of helpdesk services to minimize service gaps.
I’ve delivered many projects for Syngenta Pakistan that results in better user experience. Delivered IPT Solution for Syngenta Head Office Users that let them connect with Syngenta Global Users over the corporate network savings international dialing and conference costs.
Services to let them logged and get resolved their complaints in SNOW and follow up with Help Desk Services. It improves their experience and bring satisfaction by reducing resolution time. Procurement of IT equipment under Syngenta Corporate guidelines by doing SLA with local HP and Dell partners to provide timely delivery of scheduled replacement and new equipment, setup with corporate software and deliver to staff all over the country. Brought whole Sales Team on board to Syngenta Network by providing them Surface Pro Tabs with corporate software installed, let them connect and use all sort of Corporate Solution via corporate network. Delivery of IT/Digital projects also brought satisfaction to Syngenta Franchise Network that let them manage their inventory electronically.
