Sara Taqi

I’m a filmmaker and theatre artist with a background in acting, directing, storytelling and creative production. I’m currently completing my degree in Film and Communication Design and have experience working in theatre, directing performances, teaching acting and storytelling, and developing creative projects. I’m especially interested in documentary and travel storytelling because I love exploring people, cultures and places through visual stories.

I’m comfortable working collaboratively, learning on the go and adapting to new environments. I’m looking for opportunities where I can combine filmmaking with travel, especially exploring and documenting the landscapes, communities and stories of northern Pakistan.

I have experience across filmmaking, creative production, theatre, directing, teaching, and art direction. I have worked on short films and creative projects, as well as commercial, student, and movement theatre productions including The 39 Steps, Tales of Two Spectators, Fareb, Seagull, and Merchant of Venice. I directed the commercial theatre play Madam Kaun? and have worked as an Assistant Acting Teacher at the Arts Council, teaching acting, storytelling, and creative writing to children.

I have also worked as a Creative Art Director for a children’s play with Arts Wave Productions, worked on a DVC for Mobilink Bank, and collaborated with local and international theatre artists and groups.
