Backend engineer across several production systems - a real-time collaboration platform, a PKI/cryptography suite, and a VPN management platform - focused on backend architecture and shared engineering practices on a small team.

• Built Qcollab, a real-time collaboration platform, as 15+ Node.js/TypeScript microservices in a Turborepo monorepo.
• Implemented the real-time layer with Socket.IO and Redis Pub/Sub for presence, messaging, and cross-service events.
• Integrated LiveKit for voice and video, handling the WebSocket signaling between services.
• Developed a custom API gateway in Node.js/Express for routing, authentication, and cross-service communication.
• Built RPC CA Server, a Certificate Authority service that automates certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation.
• Built SignServer, a digital signing service with REST APIs for PDF, DOCX, APK, and EXE signing.
• Added a RFC 8555 ACME server so certificate lifecycle management runs automatically instead of by hand.
• Built PKI Admin Portal, a multi-tenant admin console with role-based access using Keycloak and Casbin.
• Built strongSwan IKEv2/IPsec VPN backend, implementing a custom TypeScript VICI client to automate tunnel provisioning and a React dashboard for real-time infrastructure monitoring.
