Glacier and Glacial Lake Inventory for Hunza District

• Compiled a detailed glacier inventory for the Hunza District using satellite remote sensing methods, demarcating glacier boundaries and classifying glacier types.
• Mapped and identified potentially dangerous glacial lakes by analyzing multispectral satellite imagery (e.g., Landsat, Sentinel-2), assessing their proximity to parent glaciers and stability.
• Used GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS) for image processing, spatial analysis, and monitoring changes in cryospheric features.
• Integrated critical data on glacier extent, glacial lake distribution, and supraglacial features into a structured geodatabase to support climate change impact assessment.
