The Repair and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of boilers installed at plant room and Responsible for proper administration /supervision and smooth operation of the shift to achieve maximum operation efficiency and economy of the hotel total energy consumption, also responsible for maintenance & complete operation of chillers, generators, boiler, operation of fire safety etc.
- Operation and maintenance of Cold and Hot water supply system
- Operation and maintenance of Sewerage water system
- Operation and maintenance of Soft water system
- Operation and maintenance of HVAC system
- Operation and maintenance of Laundry and kitchen equipment's
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Fire and other safety
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Physical security of plant and equipment's
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Effective preventive maintenance
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Maintenance planning and schedule for all shifts
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Effective routine maintenance
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Staff supervision for optimum efficiency
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Operation/maintenance of boiler/chillers/generator/water system and other equipment's
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Keeping updated records of maintenance orders and shifts loges
- Assure implementation of hotel /department polices and procedure for Water testing
- Operation and maintenance of all firefighting equipment's in building
- Responsible to effectively entertain guest complaints and take active steps to improve the complaint solving time, complaints include plumbing, electrical related issues faced by guest in rooms/offices/banquets/restaurants and any other related areas
- Initiate program for the improvement of procedures and the reduction of costs
- Analyses and monitors shift operation
- Assure cleanliness and upkeep of plant room/hotel machineries
- Follow up lighting schedules/AC/freezers/refrigerators
- Keep constant check on work performance of each worker under his supervision, and ensures correct time keeping of the shift duty staff and make sure that staffs are neat and clean
- Maintain safety activates including test results instruments reading, details of equipment's malfunctions and maintenance work
- Capable of work easily in any of the shifts, i.e. morning, evening, night and be available on call whenever services are required
- Reporting to the chief engineer on any work-related project assigned by the chief engineer
- Maintains good contact and support with government inspection officials
- Supervises and controls and works performed by out contractor are complied with specification and hotel requirements
- Assume other duties assigned by the chief engineer from time to time
