Electrical Engineering Intern at Mari Energies Limited (2026-07 – 2026-08)

• Completed a 6-week internship rotating through the Power Generation House, CMF-2 gas gathering/compression facility, and SGPC, following a two-day HSE induction covering Permit to Work, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and Task Risk Assessment.
• Gained field exposure to gas-turbine power generation (GT1/GT2/GT3), synchronization, transformers, HT/LT switchgear, and protection relay schemes at the Power Generation House.
• Studied reciprocating gas compression (Ariel compressors, Waukesha gas engines), PLC-based control, and process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, flow transmitters) across CMF-2.
• Assisted the Instrumentation & Electrical team during a scheduled compressor shutdown - terminal tightness checks, HART-based transmitter calibration, and sensor installation/replacement.
• Gained exposure to custody-transfer gas measurement, including flow computers, gas chromatography, and gas dehydration instrumentation.
• At SGPC, studied motor starting methods & VFDs, Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI automation (RSLinx, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk), and performed Insulation Resistance (IR) testing on motors.
