As a Assistant Lab manager :
- Plans, directs, and supervises the laboratory and staff to ensure that patients’ laboratory needs are effectively met.
- Establishes, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, standards, and objectives for the provision of services and coordinates with other departments to provide maximum level of services to patients and hospital staff.
- Establishes, implements, and monitors short and long term goals for the department which are in line with organizational plans, mission, vision, and values
- Establishes, implements, and monitors staffing adequacies and development programs to adjust as needed.
- Oversees/recommends promotions, demotions, transfers, and succession planning.
- Delegates assignments and tasks as is required to guarantee accuracy and promptness of patient testing and efficient laboratory operations.
- Responsible and perform quality control auditing and documentation functions in preparation for successful ISO 9001:2015 certification for all lab departments.
- Responsible to facilitate and coordinate audit requirement of Sindh Health Commission for all department of Pathology .
- Served as a Point of contact regarding quality objectives , procedures and concerns.
- Assess and monitor product quality to ensure compliance with customer expectations.
- Establishes, implements, and monitors annual budget for department. Not only prepares all sections for CAP inspections but participate in CAP program of being an inspector for another facility.
- Sets and monitors Standards of Excellence for customer service for the department.
- Work Collaboratively with department managers , supervisors and coordinator to provide assistance for overall management of outreach lab.
- Assure effective intra and inter departmental communication, and make sure that issues & complaints are effectively resolved and follow ups occurred.
- Follow all safety regulations and operates according to good work practice . Report and document unsafe acts, conditions, accidents or injuries .
- Assist in design promotional material and correspondence for marketing purpose.
- Acts as adviser and liaison for any other laboratory testing done within the system.
- Attends and participates in management and committee meetings.
