Data Integration Engineer (Python, SQL, Airflow)

The RoleWe are hiring a Data Integration Engineer to join our Client - actuals Financial infrastructure for high volume digital companies - team and take ownership of client integration pipelines from day one.This is a hands-on, build-heavy role. You won't be doing generic platform configuration—for your first six months, your primary mandate will be designing and building data pipelines that connect client systems (orders, payments, ERPs). You will be deep in pipeline architecture, SQL-based data mapping, and integration troubleshooting, working directly within clients' system landscapes to ensure their financial data flows reliably and accurately.What You'll Build and Own Pipeline & Integration Engineering (Primary Focus)Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using our self-hosted Mage.io setup (alongside tools like Airflow/dbt) to connect client systems.Data Mapping: Map fields from client systems (orders, payments, payouts, ERPs) into our unified data model using SQL, collaborating with Business Consultants for domain context.Validation & Troubleshooting: Validate large, high-volume datasets for correctness, completeness, and consistency before and after pipeline runs.

Troubleshoot pipeline failures and edge cases across varied technical landscapes.Documentation: Document pipeline logic and mapping decisions clearly for smooth handover and cross-client reuse.Client-Facing Technical DeliveryTranslate ambiguous or incomplete client requirements into robust, working pipeline designs.Guide clients through the technical aspects of onboarding, working closely with Business Consultants from system discovery to final data delivery.Product Feedback LoopIdentify recurring integration patterns and gaps across client implementations.Collaborate directly with the Product team to turn bespoke pipeline solutions into scalable, reusable productized connectors over time.What You BringMinimum Requirements:3 years of experience in a technical, data-integration, or pipeline-engineering role.Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.Hands-on experience with (or a strong aptitude for) orchestration and pipeline tools like Mage.io, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.Ability to break down complex, ambiguous integration challenges into pragmatic, working solutions.Strong detail orientation with an unyielding focus on data accuracy and financial correctness.Comfort working directly with technical stakeholders on the client side in a fast-paced environment.Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).Nice to have:Experience integrating with PSPs (Payment Service Providers), ERPs, or core accounting systems.Domain background in accounting, FinOps, or financial data processing.Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.What we offer 💲 Long-term B2B contract: 18 000 - 29 000 PLN net VAT / month 📍 Remote work model but we also welcome you to work from our office in Gdańsk 🥇 Development budget 1000 PLN per year for courses, training, or conferences🩺 Private healthcare (Medicover)🏋‍♂️ Sports card (Medicover Sport)🤸‍♂️ Relaxed atmosphere with minimal bureaucracy and formalities
