Key role objectives

RFx is a strategic trading platform that will replace the bank's legacy trading systems.Being a new project, it offers a chance to work with the latest technology stack (Cammunda, Camel, Protobuf and more) to build a mission-critical trading system.

We expect all team members to demonstrate a good understanding of best practices arounddeveloping applications – in terms of design, performance, support, robustness and ease of adaptation.

The team operates in a cross cultural multi time zone environment and undertakes full life cycle development and operation of the product. Every member in the team is expected demonstrate a level of complex, distributed systems development experience.

While an in-depth knowledge of bonds and CDS is not essential, a working understanding is preferable– since the successful candidate will be required to work with the Business on new requests.

Essential

? Core Java

? Server side development, good multi threading knowledge, good understanding of the JVM & garbage collectors.

? Middleware messaging, preferably with experience on a JMS platform (e.g. EMS, ActiveMQ) and/or Java NIO.

? Experience developing large scale enterprise applications in a SOA architecture.

? Good OO design knowledge.

? Experience of TDD or able to demonstrate good knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration.

? Experience with databases,

? Frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Mavenor equivalents,

? Experience of the full development lifecycle.

? Ability to write highly perform anD code in a test first environment

? Desirable:

? BPMN

? JEE stack

? Apache Camel

? Google Protobuf

Some web development experience (Spring MVC HTML5 JavaScript frameworks)
