As a Junior software engineer – Java you will work with various technologies (depending on the project), such as Java, Mainframe (Cobol), REST Services, Microservice Architecture, Oracle, Spring Boot, Maven and more. You will learn from our experienced colleagues while working on real tasks and contribute to the development of key banking solutions.

This means hands-on exposure to real AI use cases, modern tooling, and problem-solving challenges on top of the core competency path. A unique opportunity for those excited about blending classic engineering craft with the future of tech Primary tasks and responsibilities include: Develop and maintain backend features in Java & Spring Boot Build and support REST APIs and integrations Work with technologies such as Spring Boot, Maven, OpenShift, Git, Bitbucket, Sonarqube, and Jenkins.

Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews Analyse, test and implement small development tasks Collaborate closely with a Product Owner (PO), Business Analyst (BA), the business side, and other experienced developers in your team. Contribute ideas and improvements during team discussions To succeed you will have to be: a graduate with bachelor's degree in fields of technology or computer science, planning to continue education with master's degree; a student on master's degree in IT fields or in other fields, who would like to start a career in IT fluent in English (both written and spoken) available at least 32 hours per week (Monday - Friday) a quick learner focused on professional development and improving technical knowledge motivated to join a one-year program and willing to stay with us afterwards familiar with Java and basic OOP concepts oriented programming concepts comfortable working with tools like Git and Maven willing to learn Spring Boot, REST APIs and modern engineering practices Be your best self with BEC’s benefits!

Complete an online technical test. First interview with our recruiter (online). Meet our technical expert onsite to get to know BEC/Nykredit and tell us about your skills. Participate in the Assessment Day working on group assignments (onsite) - 13th and 14th of May Meet your future manager for a final interview.
