About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of software quality, test automation and data validation.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical QA background and is comfortable working with SQL, Python, automated testing and relational databases.

You will work closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Owners and DevOps teams to build reliable, scalable and well-tested solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain automated test cases and test frameworks.
Develop test automation using Python.
Write complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
Test relational databases and data processing workflows.
Perform functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
Validate data consistency, transformations and business logic.
Perform API testing and backend validation.
Analyse test results and investigate failures.
Identify, document and track defects.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers and data engineering teams.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks and QA processes.

Requirements

3+ years of commercial experience in QA / Software Testing.
Hands-on experience with test automation.
Good programming skills in Python.
Strong practical knowledge of SQL.
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle or similar.
Experience with automated testing frameworks, preferably PyTest.
Experience with API testing, preferably REST.
Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
Experience with Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good English communication skills, minimum B2.
