Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS, Python, Terraform)

UST Global is looking for a

• *Cloud Platform Engineer**

to help optimize orchestration workflows by converting Apache Airflow (Python DAGs) to AWS Step Functions. This role requires strong Python development skills, Infrastructure-as-Code expertise using Terraform, and hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience. This individual will be part of a small team that also manages the platform administration and configuration of Atlan and Elementary, and would also be expected to help with those tools as needed.

Working hours: till 9 pm CET.

Location: Poland.

• *Key Responsibilities:
• Convert and modernize Apache Airflow Python DAGs into AWS Step Functions
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Develop Python-based orchestration, automation, and platform tooling
• Engineer and support AWS services, including Step Functions, Lambda, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production workflows
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams on design and operations
• *Required Qualifications:
• Strong production experience with Python
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform for AWS infrastructure
• Solid experience operating workloads in AWS
• Experience developing and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs
• Understanding of cloud-native reliability, security, and scalability best practices
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience migrating orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow to Step Functions)
• Background in DevOps or Platform Engineering
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or containerized workloads
