The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, efficient, and secure Python-based microservices. The developer will deploy and manage containerized applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically using Cloud Run. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
Responsibilities also include optimizing applications for performance and scalability, implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment, and monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to ensure high availability.
The developer is expected to write clean, maintainable code, follow coding standards, and stay up to date with industry trends in microservices and cloud computing.
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based microservices
Deploy and manage containerized applications on GCP Cloud Run
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability
Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production applications
Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Stay updated with emerging technologies in cloud and microservices
Strong experience in Python microservices development
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially Cloud Run and Cloud Functions
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling
Proficiency with Git version control
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Terraform, Jenkins)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver)
Additional experience with Google Cloud services
