Overview:
Software Engineering Managers at Google not only possess the technical expertise to lead major projects but also manage a team of engineers. You will optimize your code and empower engineers to optimize theirs. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and develop your team across various domains including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, distributed computing, and more.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Kernel development, and architecting and developing distributed systems design.
Preferred Qualifications: - 5 years of experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed computing infrastructure.
- Experience working on customer-facing products/APIs.
- Proven skills in managing teams working on highly distributed and reliable systems.
Responsibilities: - Manage a team focused on a defined product area within Google Compute Engine.
- Build, grow, and retain top talent; continuously inspire and challenge the engineering organization.
- Work with team members on career development and performance.
- Set direction and priorities for the product area in cooperation with the team.
- Build cross-functional partnerships; work closely with developers and product managers to identify productivity, production quality, and coverage issues, and improve them through scale and tooling.
Compensation: - Poland: z480000 - z492000 (PLN) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
