Reports to: General Manager

(5) Direct Reports: AR Clerk, Collections Officer, Inventory Accountant, Senior Accountant, AP & Purchasing Officer

Job Summary The Controller is responsible for leading the organization’s financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role oversees the finance team, drives operational efficiency, and delivers financial insights that impact business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and direct the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

Analyze financial performance, including cost of sales, unit costs, and productivity metrics.

Ensure financial reports incorporate historical data, trends, and current business performance.

Maintain the integrity and reliability of all financial data.

Conduct financial evaluations and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.

Assess new business opportunities, product initiatives, and cost-reduction strategies.

Oversee audits of expense accounts and balance sheet accounts to ensure proper recording.

Prepare and review key financial statements, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

Generate reports related to inventory, production, capital expenditures, and sales performance by customer, territory, and product.

Monitor accounts receivable, including aging reports and turnover analysis.

Oversee bank reconciliations and monthly closing processes.

Perform month-over-month variance analysis.

Lead the financial close process, including adjustments and internal reviews.

Serve as the main point of contact for external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.

Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and GMP standards.

Drive continuous improvement in financial and operational processes.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

Proven experience leading and managing teams.

Strong background in general accounting, manufacturing accounting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis.

Experience working with ERP systems.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.

SAP experience is required.

Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
