Assists in the direction, coordination and supervision together with the Medical Director. Provides direct medical services and performs complete history and physical exams on patients.
Works in coordination and supervises a team of professionals composed of administrative, clinical and behavioral sciences personnel; ensuring compliance with clinical quality indicators as established by HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration), and other accrediting agencies. Ensures the proper functioning in the clinical area of Corporación SANOS in conjunction with the Medical Director.
Plans, supervises and organizes the clinical services of the programs under the HRSA proposal.
Plans and sub-directs in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program
Supports quarterly meetings, discussion and evaluation of audits, preparing and discussing corrective plans and monitoring of compliance of the Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
Establishes clinical procedures and protocols that promote cost-effective and quality use of medical services
Take corrective actions when situations arise that affect the quality of clinical services
Documents and carries out disciplinary actions against employees who do not comply with their responsibilities or standards as established
Make recommendations on promotions, recognitions, layoffs and others
Develops manuals, protocols and clinical guidelines; as required
Conduct peer review according to the organization's standard
Participate in clinical committees such as quality, infectious, security, educational and others
Forms part of the meetings of the Governing Board on behalf of the Medical Director when necessary
Participate in the preparation of Federal or State proposals
