PIXIEWe are looking for an AI Java Software Engineer – Agentic Engineering in Lisbon
We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer with strong experience in modern Java, Spring Boot, event-driven microservices and, importantly, hands-on Agentic Engineering experience to join an international project focused on building scalable data and backend solutions.

🧩 What are we looking for?
Strong backend development experience with Java 17+
Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot
Microservices based on event-driven architecture
Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
Demonstrable Agentic Engineering experience, including:
Agent instructions and configuration files such as CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md or similar
Rules, skills and agent loops
Multi-agent orchestration
Integration of agentic workflows into the development process
Practical knowledge of modern Java features such as records, sealed classes and virtual threads
🎓 Nice to have
Experience with DDD and Hexagonal Architecture gRPC for internal service communication
CQRS and event-driven read models
AWS or Azure cloud experience
Experience working with heterogeneous data, including parsing, mapping and normalization
🌍 Language
Fluent English (C1 or equivalent) – THIS IS A MUST
