I'm partnering with a fast growing technology company building highly scalable, real time data infrastructure used within a performance critical environment.

They're hiring a Senior Backend Developer to help evolve their API and data platform, working alongside a small, ambitious engineering team solving complex challenges around scalability, reliability, and low latency systems.

What you'll do

• Build and scale high performance API infrastructure using Python
• Optimise PostgreSQL databases and improve system performance
• Develop and maintain data mapping, scheduling, and backend services
• Contribute to distributed systems handling large volumes of real time data
• Drive improvements across scalability, reliability, and platform architecture

What you'll need

• Strong commercial experience with Python backend development
• Experience building and maintaining APIs and microservices
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and database optimisation
• Experience working with distributed systems, data pipelines, or high scale platforms
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, ownership driven mindset
