Big Data Engineer
We are looking for a Big Data Engineer to join our Inetum Team and be part of a work culture focused on innovation!
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Main Tasks:
- Support the development, maintenance, and testing of the STDA process within the MS4U platform, contributing to the creation of quarterly databases with actual closing date figures in a Big Data environment.
- Perform data collection, data ingestion, data quality checks, data preparation, and data cleaning using DATAIKU DSS (Data Science Studio).
- Work with PySpark, Hive, and Hadoop to process and transform large volumes of data efficiently.
- Contribute to data consolidation within a strong control and analysis framework, ensuring consistency, reliability, and traceability of information.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams as part of a cross-geography team split between Lisbon and Paris, working as one integrated unit.
- Develop a solid understanding of credit data functional content and stress testing modelling concepts, which are part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
- Support the execution of processes related to Group-wide stress testing, financial planning, and synthesis within BNP Paribas.
- Contribute to an industrialized and scalable data environment designed to support regulatory and internal stress testing exercises.
Profile:
- Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming knowledge and willingness to grow in a Big Data / Data Engineering environment.
- Proven experience with SQL and Python is mandatory.
- Exposure to or knowledge of PySpark, Hive, Hadoop, and DATAIKU DSS is highly valued.
- Interest in working with large-scale data processing, data quality, and industrialized data platforms.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data consistency.
- Ability to work in a structured and controlled environment with strong data governance requirements.
- Comfortable collaborating in an international and multi-location team.
- Interest in credit data, risk, and stress testing concepts is a plus.
- Junior profile with motivation to develop technical and functional expertise in a strategic banking environment.
Language Skills:
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Portuguese is valued.
