DevOps Engineer

This role offers the unique opportunity to work with the IT teams of 20+ independently operated business units across regions including Central Europe, UK, EMEA and more. You’ll help support decentralized operations while driving centralized standards around infrastructure, automation, identity, and support practices.

• *What You’ll Do**

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll support and evolve Modaxo’s cloud, security, and system infrastructure, manage shared and business-unit specific environments, and ensure operational excellence across a wide spectrum of technologies.

• Key Responsibilities:*
• Oversee IT systems environment compliance against Modaxo IT/IS baseline.
• Own and manage DNS, networking, VPNs, and infrastructure components across hybrid environments.
• Support new acquisition IT integration
• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and JumpCloud directory services
• Integrate and manage identity and access using Okta and SSO technologies
• Support and maintain Cloudflare configurations (DNS, WAF, Zero Trust)
• Provide remote system administration support for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments for Modaxo users.
• Manage SharePoint sites and role-based permissions.
• Oversee and participate in L3 IT support escalations where required across the portfolio.
• Monitor system health and performance, respond to incidents, and support on-call operations as needed
• Partner with Business Unit IT teams to support infrastructure, security, and operational needs
• Ensure alignment with cyber / data security and privacy best practices and compliance frameworks ( ISO27001, NIS2 and EU-GDPR)
• *What You Bring
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Systems admin/ Engineering role
• Strong hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure
• Experience with Entra ID/ Azure AD, and M365 administration
• Experience with JumpCloud is plus
• Deep understanding of networking, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routing
• Experience with Okta (SSO, MFA, lifecycle management)
• Comfortable supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
• Experience with Cloudflare management is plus
• Ability to work across multiple business units with varying technical maturity
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset

• Experience supporting a decentralized, multi-entity IT environment
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD platforms
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, ECS, AKS, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance strategies
