We are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React) to join our team in Lisbon and contribute to the modernization of a strategic platform for a leading European bank.
This project is focused on the migration of a large-scale enterprise application to a modern technology stack, replacing legacy components with scalable and maintainable solutions built with Node.js and React. You'll work in a collaborative, agile environment alongside experienced engineers, contributing to business-critical systems used daily across the organization.
Developing new features using Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript practices
Participating in the migration of legacy applications to a modern Full Stack architecture
Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable and high-quality software solutions
Writing clean, reusable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
Participating in code reviews and contributing to technical discussions and architectural decisions
Troubleshooting production issues and continuously improving application performance and reliability
Taking ownership of technical solutions and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team What should you bring to the team
3+ years of professional experience in Full Stack Software Development
Strong experience with Node.js and React
Solid knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Experience developing RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries
Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Availability to work in a hybrid model (3 days/week in Lisbon)
Fluent Portuguese. Nice to have
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Experience with automated testing (unit and integration tests)
Familiarity with microservices architecture
