Full-Stack Engineer | Java

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer | Java to join our engineering team in Lisbon and contribute to the evolution of a large-scale technology platform.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in Java , who is comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, from back-end services and APIs to front-end applications, integrations, and architectural decisions.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and deliver end-to-end features using Java for back-end services and React.js for front-end applications ;
• Develop and integrate secure authentication solutions based on Okta, SSO, and OIDC , adapting configurations to different regions and business contexts;
• Build, enhance, and maintain REST APIs , ensuring clear and comprehensive OpenAPI documentation ;
• Develop event-driven solutions using technologies such as AWS SQS and Solace ;
• Manage front-end packages and dependencies using npm, following modern development practices;
• Apply secure approaches to token management, authentication, and session renewal within React applications;
• Maintain high standards of code quality and security through tools such as SonarQube and Snyk , supported by structured code reviews;
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team;
• Take part in architectural discussions and help shape engineering standards and best practices across the platform.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional software development experience ;
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and React.js ;
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs and OpenAPI ;
• Experience with Okta, SSO, and OIDC is highly valued;
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous communication patterns;
• Experience with AWS SQS and/or Solace ;
• Familiarity with code quality and security tools such as SonarQube and Snyk ;
• Strong software engineering practices, including code review and version control;
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team;
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior developers is a plus.
