We're building the digital identity layer for premium wine. Every bottle gets an NFC-powered digital identity — verifiable, connected, and commercially alive from the cellar to the glass. You'll work across the entire stack: a Spring Boot microservices backend, a React Ionic mobile app, and a React backoffice platform — shipping features that connect winemakers with the people who drink their wine, for the first time ever.

What Corkified Does A winemaker spends years crafting the perfect vintage. Then the bottle disappears into a distribution chain and is opened by someone the winemaker will never meet. No data. No relationship. No way back.
Corkified changes that. We embed NFC tags into corks (in exclusive partnership with Amorim, the world's largest cork producer) and apply tamper-evident sticker tags to bottles. When someone taps, the bottle comes alive: cryptographic authentication, AI-personalised storytelling, DTC commerce, consumer insights, and EU Digital Product Passport compliance — all from a single tap.
We're not a QR campaign tool. We're not a winery CRM. We're identity infrastructure for physical goods, starting with premium wine.
Microservices in Java / Spring Boot — account management, catalog, cellar tracking, NFC smart-cork authentication, engagement, gamification challenges, geotagging, and more. MongoDB-backed, message-driven architecture using SNS/SQS for asynchronous communication, deployed on Kubernetes.
Consumer Mobile App (React Ionic Capacitor) — cross-platform iOS/Android app with NFC scanning, AI bottle storytelling, digital cellar, Wine Passport, social tasting experiences, and DTC commerce. TypeScript, MUI, Framer Motion, Firebase Auth/Analytics/Messaging.
Producer Backoffice (React MUI Vite) — campaign management, analytics dashboards, bottle logistics, content editing (TipTap), data import/export, and AI-powered insights for winery clients. TypeScript, Zod, SWR, ApexCharts.
AI-Powered Features — RAG pipelines for wine knowledge retrieval, AI food pairing engine, personalised wine recommendations, intelligent wine profiling, AI sommelier assistant, and an on-scan AI assistant that adapts every bottle interaction to the person holding it. You'll work with LLMs, build and optimise retrieval-augmented generation systems, and help design agentic workflows that make every tap smarter.
Platform & Infra — Kubernetes, AWS (S3, CloudFront, Route 53, SNS, SQS), Terraform for infrastructure as code, Firebase ecosystem, Sentry observability, CI/CD via GitHub Actions, API-first design with SpringDoc/OpenAPI.
