We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer eager to work on cutting-edge AI-driven applications in the healthcare industry. If you thrive in an environment that challenges you to build scalable, high-performing software solutions, this role is for you!

As a Full Stack Engineer with significant back-end experience in Python and front-end experience in React, you will design, develop, and deploy applications that power AI-driven solutions, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and product teams to ensure both front-end and back-end systems are optimized for performance and reliability.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, ideally based in our Coimbra, Portugal office. We will also consider strong candidates who can work a hybrid schedule from our Szeged, Hungary or Subotica, Serbia offices.

Role responsibilities

• Development of front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable backend services using Python (Flask, FastAPI, or Django).
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components.
• Design and optimize databases for performance and scalability (PostgreSQL).
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and oversee AWS cloud deployments.
• Participate in code reviews and implement best practices for development.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Skills & expertise

• Professional experience developing front-end applications using React (preferred), Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building backend applications using Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with cloud deployments and DevOps tools.
• Experience with application performance optimization.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with AI-powered engineering tooling.
