Position: Java Backend Developer

Location: Porto, Portugal

Work model: Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality solutions through innovative design aligned with good development practices;
• Manage application requirements in an Agile and TDD environment;
• Think critically about existing processes and suggest new ideas and improvements;
• Participate in all software lifecycle processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Java Backend Developer, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot;
• Hands-on experience with SingleStore DB, OpenShift and Kafka;
• Solid SQL and relational database skills (SQL Server, Sybase);
• Strong experience building automated tests (TDD/BDD);
• Experience with distributed data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS and Hive;
• Knowledge of microservices, containers, ETL and CI/CD (highly valued);
• Fluency in English (minimum B2 mandatory).
