ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join a technology opportunity in the payments sector, based in Alfragide with a hybrid working model. The role focuses on backend development with Java, Spring Boot and cloud native architecture, supporting distributed systems, microservices and REST API-based solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to cloud native architecture decisions, with a strong focus on microservices and scalable distributed systems.
• Build and evolve REST APIs that support secure, reliable and maintainable application integration.
• Collaborate with technical teams to analyze requirements, optimize backend components and support solution delivery.
• Apply engineering practices that support code quality, system resilience, maintainability and standardization.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Senior backend development experience, with advanced autonomy in complex technical delivery.
• Solid experience with Java and advanced experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of cloud native architecture, microservices and distributed systems.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, responsible and solution-oriented environment.
• Professional working proficiency in Portuguese.
