The Role: Lead Java FullStack Software Engineer
📍 Location: Lisbon
🏢🏠 Work Model: 2 days a week onsite - Lisbon
💰🏦 Sector: Financial Services
🗣️ Languages: English (B2 - C1), French (is a plus)
✅ Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
🧑 💻 Your Role / Profile
- Degree in Software Engineering or similar, with a strong passion for technology
- Proven experience architecting and delivering scalable applications using modern design principles and patterns
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and testing methodologies
- Lead the delivery of production-ready features within Agile/Scrum teams
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to the evolution of our software architecture
- Design, develop, and integrate complex business workflow applications and rules
- Oversee maintenance and optimisation of existing Appway workflows
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices and team growth
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and innovative solutions
💻 You´ll be working with:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 21, Spring, and Angular in cloud-based environments
- Solid background in JPA/Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases
- Experience with BPMN technologies
- Proficiency with development and DevOps tools including Docker, Git, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Maven, JUnit, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes
- Experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and ElasticSearch
- Good working knowledge of Python and Kotlin
