We would like to meet a
PHP & Java Developer
for a project in Lisbon (hybrid model, 2 days per week in the office).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack solutions using modern and legacy technologies;
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and technical teams to define and implement scalable solutions;
- Participate in technical roadmap definition and contribute to innovation initiatives;
- Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using PHP and Java;
- Apply microservices architecture principles and best development practices in software delivery;
- Ensure code quality through clean architecture, SOLID principles, and continuous integration practices;
- Contribute actively to technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the team;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban);
- Support cloud-native and containerized deployments using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes;
- Act as a technical ambassador in internal communities, conferences, and technology events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience as a PHP Developer – with PHP 8;
- 2+ years of experience with Java development;
- Experience with web services and architectures such as HTTP, REST, SOAP, and JSON.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems;
- Good understanding of SOLID principles and software design best practices;
- Experience with relational databases, preferably MSSQL;
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and collaboration tools such as Git and Jira;
- Experience with cloud and containerized environments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.);
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban;
- Knowledge of TELCO BSS/OSS architecture (is a plus);
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
