Python Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a Python Application Support Engineer to support and maintain a business-critical banking application, ensuring stability, performance, and efficient incident resolution in production environments.

This role combines Python development, application support, and operational troubleshooting, working closely with IT, production, and business teams in a regulated and high-availability context.

Key Responsibilities

Provide application support for a core banking application

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to the application

Develop and maintain Python scripts for:

Bug fixes

Automation

Operational support tasks

Monitor application behavior and performance in production

Investigate data and functional issues using logs and database queries

Coordinate incident resolution with IT, production, and external partners

Participate in root-cause analysis and problem management

Contribute to continuous improvement and application stability

Maintain and update operational documentation and runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with Python

Experience in application support or production environments

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues

Experience working with databases (SQL)

Familiarity with Linux / Unix environments

Understanding of incident and problem management processes

Knowledge of banking or financial systems is a strong plus
