We're excited to help our client Aiera.com, a fast-growing, well-funded American startup in the financial technology industry to build their team in the Algarve.

And we’re hiring Senior Backend Developers with 5+ years of web development experience and strong expertise in Python and related frameworks to join the team.

This is a hybrid role based around Loulé / Faro, Algarve (2–3 days/week at the office), with competitive compensation in the range of €45.000–€55.000 gross annual .

The Work You’ll Do

• Maintain and refactor the current product platform to improve performance and scalability.
• Automate manual systems to free up operations and increase reliability.
• Harden and modernize infrastructure, migrating from queue-based to serverless/cloud-based architectures (Terraform, Kafka, Lambda).
• From 2026 onwards: contribute to the development of the new AI-powered platform .

Who We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of professional web development experience.
• Strong backend expertise with Python and related frameworks.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, cloud architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
• Collaborative mindset — thrive in hybrid setups and enjoy direct local and international teamwork.
• Either:
• Already based in the Algarve and seeking an international job environment, or European/Brazilian citizen interested in relocating to the Algarve to combine career growth with lifestyle benefits.
