Python Developer

Requirements

• Degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
• Until 3 years of experience as Python developer;
• Solid foundational knowledge of Python 3, demonstrated through academic, personal, or internship projects.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, including query writing and data manipulation.
• Basic familiarity with Linux and command-line operations.
• Fundamental understanding of software engineering principles and version control using Git.
• Interest in learning software development best practices, testing, and code quality standards.
• Willingness to learn DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in working in a quantitative risk and finance environment, particularly in rating engine development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components using Python 3.
• Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyse data.
• Use Linux command-line tools to support development and troubleshooting activities.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative software development.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, and version control.
• Support the development and maintenance of solutions within the quantitative risk and finance domain.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of rating engines and related components.
• Analyse technical and data-related problems and contribute to effective solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams while progressively developing technical expertise and autonomy.
